Professor Joanna Bryson's primary research interest is using Artificial Intelligence to understand Natural Intelligence. Her secondary interests are: agent-based modelling of animal societies and cultural evolution, modular models of individual intelligence, AI development methodologies, action selection and dynamic planning, intelligent and cognitive systems (e.g. intelligent environments, artificial companions, game characters), AI and society. Her hobbies include political science, neuroscience and music.
